Our Story
Victoria Aguilera, creator of Pacha Compost and the face behind Aotearoa's first clay composters, the Pacha Pots. She enjoys educating others on the benefits of composting, as well as busting myths whilst reducing food waste sent to landfill.
Victoria's Chilean family comes from a region rich in natural clay resources.
For generations, they have used clay to cook, eat and serve their nearest and dearest. There is truly something beautiful about it.
When she came across an opportunity to work with clay and compost, it was a match made in heaven and Pacha Compost was born.
Each clay composter (Pacha Pot) is individually hand thrown by talented potters at (morrisandjames.co.nz) who harvest their clay each summer. They use a unique blend of clay and black sand sourced from the riverbanks of Matakana. This reduces shrinkage and ensures a high quality finished product.
